Kenyan-Heart joins other countries around the world in marking World Heart Day every September.  During this event, Kenyan-Heart brings together its Local partners especially the Schools who use the opportunity to showcase the Kenyan-Heart Clubs’ Activities in the various schools.

Kenyan-Heart also uses World Heart Day as its Annual Fundraiser whereby funds are raised for the Rheumatic Heart Disease Prevention program’s - “Talking Walls” Initiative.

World Heart Day 2011

The Kenyan-Heart National Foundation celebrated World Heart Day-2011 on Saturday 24th September at Splash. Since 2004, Kenyan-Heart has enjoyed record crowds and this year was no different. Over 4000 children plus a sizeable number of adults showed their support for Kenyan-Heart by attending the celebrations. And what a celebration it was! Activities included a 5km Walk, Swimming, Camel Rides, Acrobatics, Music Extravaganza and rib-cracking comedy by the very popular, Eric Omondi.

The day was a great success, thanks to all the participating Schools and their leadership, Partners and Stakeholders. We also extend our very sincere gratitude to all others who supported Kenyan-Heart in one way or another, for we believe that, through your support, we get ever closer, to our goal of Eradicating Rheumatic Heart Disease (RHD) in Kenya. Together, we can and we will do it! Thank you & Blessings to you All!
