Kenyan-Heart Clubs
Kenyan-Heart at work

The “Kenyan-Heart Clubs” Initiative was born out of the Kenyan-Heart Capacity Building Seminars and Rheumatic Heart Disease Prevention Public Talks.
The Kenyan-Heart Clubs Initiative was born out of the Kenyan-Heart Capacity Building Seminars and Rheumatic Heart Disease Prevention Public Talks. The Kenyan-Heart ToTs (Trainer of Trainers) were so very impressed by what Kenyan-Heart National Foundation was doing & felt the need to be associated with the whole Initiative of the Prevention of Program.
So far, over 100 Schools have embraced the idea and formed Kenyan-Heart Clubs, with an aim of impacting the Community around them, sensitizing them on how to identify the Symptoms of a Strep-Sore-Throat. They act like an Extension of Kenyan-Heart National Foundation, based in the Local Communities.
Kenyan-Heart Clubs are designed to Create Awareness of Rheumatic Heart Disease & its Preventive Measures within the Community.
So far, the Schools have been the most active in carrying out this initiative of establishing Kenyan-Heart Clubs alongside other Clubs within the School Community.
In the Schools the Kenyan-Heart Clubs are run and overseen by the Kenyan-Heart ToTs, Head-Teachers & Teachers that have been Trained through the Rheumatic Heart Disease Capacity Building Seminars
Some of the activities that are carried out by the Kenyan-Heart Clubs are Performing Arts – songs, dances, skits, poems and also Sport activities like Skipping-rope Games competition, tug of war, water bucket, gymnastics etc.
Kenyan-Heart National Foundation encourages such events where the Kenyan-Heart Clubs showcase their Creative activities with the aim of Spreading the Message of Rheumatic Heart Disease Prevention.
However, the Kenyan-Heart Clubs Initiative is NOT Limited to only School Communities. Other Community Institutions like Churches and Community Based Groups are also encouraged to take part in establishing their own Kenyan-Heart Clubs through their various Groups.
