Kenyan-Heart joins other countries around the world in marking World Heart Day every September.  During this event, Kenyan-Heart brings together its Local partners especially the Schools who use the opportunity to showcase the Kenyan-Heart Clubs’ Activities in the various schools.

Kenyan-Heart also uses World Heart Day as its Annual Fundraiser whereby funds are raised for the Rheumatic Heart Disease Prevention program’s - “Talking Walls” Initiative. 

WORLD HEART DAY 2010

Kenyan-Heart National Foundation will be Celebrating this year’s World Heart Day together with the Kenya Cardiac Society (KCS) on:

DATE:           SATURDAY 25/09/ 2010 VENUE:        SPLASH WATER-WORLD,      (Next to Carnivore Grounds)

TIME:              8.00 AM. - 4.00 PM.

The Theme “Work with Heart”, is calling on people from all walks of life to take steps to improve Health & Productivity in the workplace and to reduce the risk of Cardiovascular Disease.

·     5 Km walk from the Splash Carnivore Grounds and back;

·      Screening for Hypertension, Blood Sugar, Body Mass Index (BMI) etc.

·     Free Advice on Heart Health and CVD risk factors from a team of leading Kenyan Cardiologists

·     Various Fun activities such as Acrobatic Shows, Skipping shows, Performances (songs, skits, dances etc.) by the Participating Schools;

·     Corporate games for the Participating Corporates;

·      Register one or more Corporate-Teams of 10 Individuals each KSh20,000

·     Sponsor 30 Children from the Slum-Areas at Ksh.20, 000 (These Children Will Wear Your Corporate Colors for Corporate Recognition. Visibility & Publicity)

·      Major-Sponsorship of Printing of 1000 T-Shirts at KSh. 250,000 Mainly for  School Children.  (ALL the T-Shirts would be in Your Corporate-Colors for Recognition, Visibility, Publicity & Media Attention)
